Election signs were defaced with swastikas and anti-LGBTQIA+ texts in Baarn over the weekend. The signs involved were placed in the front gardens of PvdA alderman Mark Eijbaard and D66 lead candidate Hanneke Struijk-Cramer, RTV Utrecht reported.
Political parties in Baarn condemn the defacement of election posters in the village. During the night from Friday to Saturday, banners belonging to, among others, PvdA alderman Mark Eijbaard and D66 lead candidate Hanneke Struijk-Cramer were spray-painted with swastikas and anti-gay slogans. They were placed in the politicians' front gardens.
