Suspicious death investigation underway in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – An investigation is underway after a woman was found dead Saturday afternoon. According to the Richmond County Coroner's Office, authorities responded to 14th Street at Jones Street in reference to a deceased female. The female was pronounced dead on the scene at 4:05 p.m. Authorities say the death is considered suspicious and the investigation is still ongoing. An autopsy will be scheduled.
