Oshawa Youth Group Home Worker Arrested in Sexual Assault of 13-Year-Old Boy
Police say the accused faces three charges after investigators alleged repeated abuse of a 13-year-old boy and warned there may be more victims.
On Wednesday, Durham Regional Police charged a 30-year-old group home worker with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy in Oshawa, Ont., where she was employed.
Investigators allege Shari Shoshana McGregor engaged in a sexual relationship with the victim multiple times between September 2025 and January 2026.
Police began investigating in February 2026 after allegations surfaced regarding the group home employee. The investigation led to charges four months later.
McGregor faces charges of sexual assault, sexual interference, and invitation to sexual touching; she was released on an undertaking pending court proceedings.
Investigators believe there may be more victims and are asking anyone with information to come forward. The allegations have not been tested in court.
