The mayor of Bromont, Louis Villeneuve, is the Liberal Party of Canada candidate in Brome-Missisquoi.

The federal elections were officially called on Sunday, and to date, only five candidates have announced their candidacy in the electoral districts of Pierre-Boucher–Les Patriotes–Verchères and Mont-Saint-Bruno–L-Acadie.
