Summer's over, but Calgary still has water restrictions in place. Here's why

Summary by Ground News
The City of Calgary implemented stage-one water restrictions on Aug. 15. The restrictions have already saved an estimated 1.1 billion litres of water. The city is planning to keep the restrictions in place for the time being. A low snowpack in the mountains, below normal rainfall and hotter than normal temperatures have all contributed to diminished streamflows in the Bow River this year.
