Published at the beginning of May, this book describes a totally organized formation around the personality of Jean-Luc Mélenchon, where intimidation and threats are commonplace. At the time of publication, LFI had rejected the statements of the book as a whole.
LFI considers that the reporter Olivier Peru, co-author of the book-investigation "la Mute" with Charlotte Belaich of "Liberation", is not welcome to his "Amfis". A ban on access that was so far practised only by the far right.

In its response, the movement accuses the journalist of having "heavyly defaminated" him and of having "invented false information" about his internal life.
In retaliation at the spring release of La Mute, which describes from inside the drifts of the movement of Jean-Luc Mélenchon, the management of LFI decided not to accredit the co-author of the book.
