- Alexandre Lacazette, the Lyon captain, had earlier put Lyon in front in the 22nd minute from the penalty spot after Abdoulaye Toure caused a penalty that put Le Havre level, while Josue Casimir scored for the visitors on the stroke of halftime.
- Thiago Almada added more luster to Lyon's win with a goal in added time, assisted by Mikautadze, moving Lyon to fifth place, two points behind the last direct Champions League spot, while Le Havre remained 16th in the relegation playoff spot.
