The number of student loans awarded in Germany reached a low level last year, according to a study by the non-profit "Centrum für Hochschulentwicklung" (CHE) in Gütersloh. According to this, 12,965 new contracts were concluded for a student loan or education fund. This was about 3,600 less than in the previous year.
