An earthquake 7.8 affected this morning the southern end of the country, which forced to evacuate sectors of the Magellan Region. With schools functioning in the vast majority, it was around 10 a.m. that through an SAE alert message the inhabitants of Punta Arenas were alerted, one of the points where evacuations took place.
