Open Standard, a company backed by more than 100 corporations, including Visa Inc., Stripe Inc., and Mastercard Inc., issued a US dollar-pegged stablecoin on Wednesday, marking one of the more ambitious efforts to bring the novel form of digital money into wider use.
According to ChainCatcher, citing CoinDesk, Open Standard CEO Zach Abrams stated that the company is not a consortium of hundreds of participants making decisions.
