Stratford Festival review: In Get That Hope, playwright Andrea Scott complicates the history of Little Jamaica

“Please stand for the national anthem,” intones a distant voice over the Studio Theatre loudspeaker. This is standard Stratford Festival fare — opening night audiences at Stratford have stood for many a Canadian national anthem in their day. At times, the practice can feel cheesy, dated and over-the-top, but time and again, audiences do it — for the sake of tradition, if nothing else.
