Two young women were tried on Monday, September 14, for the aggression in January 2024 of three Jewish students against the backdrop of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Abandoned during the investigations, the aggravating circumstance of anti-Semitism was not retained at the hearing.
On Monday, the Strasbourg Correctional Court found two women accused of violence in a meeting of three Jewish students in an action of collage of posters for the release of Hamas hostages. After a river hearing, agitated by legal debates and semantics, the court sentenced the main defendant to four months' suspended imprisonment and released the second. The aggravating circumstance of anti-Semitism was not retained.
On the night of 28 January 2024, three pro-Israeli activists covered pro-Palestine tags on the campus of the University of Strasbourg. They were apostrophesed by a member of the Palestine-United States Committee. The latter launched a call on social networks, resulting in a fight. The facts were tried on Monday 14 September. The anti-Semitic character of the aggression was not retained.
