The Environment Agency has issued an orange weather warning for the entire country due to afternoon storms that will last until Monday morning. Some parts of the country, including the area around Ilirska Bistrica and Novo Mesto, have already been hit by storms.
The first storms have already formed over Slovenia. Arso warns that local showers and strong gusts of wind are possible until Monday morning, and hail is not ruled out. Strong storm squalls will also be possible along the coast during a possible storm. During storms with heavy showers, individual torrential watercourses and smaller rivers will rise rapidly. Campers should move to safety.
