Storm damage knocks out Xfinity cable, internet for thousands in N.J.

As many as 20,000 Xfinity cable and internet subscribers remained without service in multiple New Jersey towns Sunday, with some customers waiting nearly two days for their access to be restored.Outages have been reported in several sections of Woodbridge, South River, Perth Amboy, Metuchen, Edison, Rahway, Tinton Falls, Shrewsbury, West Long Branch, Little Silver, Middletown, Rumson and Shrewsbury, according to Xfinity’s outage map.
