Sterling girls golf takes 10th at state tournament

The first year of the new 2A classification could hardly have gone better for Macie Doherty of Sterling girls golf. Earlier this week, during the 2A state tournament held at Pueblo Country Club, the Tigers placed 10th as a team out of the 16 squads in attendance, and Doherty ascended to fifth overall in a field of 84 competitors.
