Steelers’ DK Metcalf Punches Lions Fan During Week 16 Game at Ford Field

  • During the first half at Ford Field, CBS cameras captured Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf in an altercation with a fan during the Dec. 21, 2025 game.
  • After Metcalf approached a fan holding a jersey, Tracy Wolfson said the fan in the stands wore a blue wig and leaned over the railing while holding a `For Pittsburgh` jersey.
  • Replay analysis showed the motion but left unclear contact as CBS replay footage captured DK Metcalf's closed right hand punch toward the fan in the first row, and he walked away.
  • Game officials did not call a flag, and therefore DK Metcalf remained in Sunday's game because officials did not see the altercation and no flag was thrown, CBS rules official Gene Steratore said referees could not penalize Metcalf without seeing it live.
  • The NFL plans to review the altercation ahead of Week 17, with Jim Nantz saying, 'Nantz commented, "I think there's about a 100 percent chance of the league taking action.
