State's truffle farms unearth new opportunities

Since the first black truffle grown in Australia was harvested near Deloraine in 1999, the niche industry has reached some heady highs as farms sprung up around the state to grow “black gold”. It’s a more subdued story now, but truffles are still on the menu and finding a new footing combined with tourism. LANA BEST reports.
