State will remove LGBTQ+ pride intersections if Delray Beach, Key West don’t do it themselves

The Florida Department of Transportation warned Delray Beach it will remove the rainbow pride intersection and bill the city if not removed by the September 3 deadline, with state funds at risk.

Summary by Orlando Sentinel
Florida has ordered Delray Beach and Key West to remove their LGBTQ+ rainbow pride intersections by Sept. 3. Further defiance risks loss of state money. Requesting a hearing won't help, as the state has already reviewed the markings and they "will not be allowed."
