State reaps $800m from extra charge on airport train passengers over decade
The NSW government has collected $800 million over a decade from airport train station fees, with 85% of revenue since 2014 going to the state despite concerns about impacts on low-paid workers.
The $17.92 station access fee for an adult passenger, which is charged on top of a train fare, hits low-paid workers at Sydney Airport the hardest financially.
