State officials use new Pa. athletic complex to pitch for hazardous waste cleanup funding

WILLIAMSPORT — State officials used a $24 million project in Williamsport to push for long-term funding for environmental clean up efforts under Pennsylvania law. State Department of Environmental Protection Secretary Jessica Shirley and others made the pitch Thursday at the new Williamsport Lumber Yards, a complex of softball and baseball fields built on the site of the old city dump.
