State grant helps Fremont fund maintenance on 9 city-owned bridges

Nine city-owned bridges in Fremont will get a new lease on life thanks to a state grant that will fund preventative maintenance. The Fremont City Council will consider giving final approval for the $2.9 million expenditure when it meets Tuesday. The city already earmarked its required 20% match for the state grant.
