A Jersey City police officer will not be indicted in the fatal shooting of a man who ran from cops after firing a gun. A state grand jury on Monday voted not to file charges against Jersey City Police officer Lance Jackson, the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office said in a statement on Tuesday. On Oct. 21, 2025, Jackson fired the shot that killed 27-year-old Teshawn Rogers.
