State golf: Brand birdies six to take lead in soggy second round of WV Amateur

Despite wet conditions, Hurricane native Christian Brand caught fire to close his second round in the 107th West Virginia Amateur at The Greenbrier on Monday. Entering the day in second following a 3-under 67 on The Meadows, Brand had the best on The Old White on Monday, a 4-under par 66 to lead at 7-under par for the tournament.
