Seven states plan 1,380 new GCCs, to help create 12 lakh jobs by 2031: CBRE

Seven states are establishing dedicated policies for Global Capability Centres. These initiatives aim to create approximately 1.18 million jobs by the year 2031. Karnataka targets 500 centres and 3.5 lakh new employment opportunities. Maharashtra plans 200 centres, expecting 4 lakh jobs, while Rajasthan targets over 200 centres. Other states are also developing frameworks to boost the GCC ecosystem.

Seven states, including Karnataka and Maharashtra, have come up with dedicated policies to facilitate establishment of 1,380 Global Capability Centres (GCCs) with a target to create an additional 12 lakh jobs by 2031, according to CBRE.
