Zagreb Mayor in Second Round, SDP Loses Rijeka

CANDIDATE for mayor of Zagreb Ivica Lovrić (Blue City, BUZ) achieved a very poor result.

According to unofficial results of Sunday's first round of local elections, Zagreb will be led by the We Can Do It! party with the largest opposition party, the SDP. The mayors of Zagreb, Split and Rijeka will be known in the second round, Osijek has already been decided. The ruling HDZ will have a majority in the largest number of county assemblies, while the SDP suffered a historic defeat in Rijeka on Sunday.
