Fathers of children born after the 2022 reform used nearly twice the proportion of parental allowance days as dads whose children were born before the change.

The previous government's attempts to get fathers to spend more time at home with their children seem to have borne fruit, at least to some extent. After the reform, fathers have taken out almost twice as many parental benefit days as fathers before the reform.

The reform that came into effect in August 2022 increased the share of parental leave for fathers.
