Spotify expands music videos access to premium users in US, Canada to take on YouTube
The beta rollout lets Premium users stream official music videos with a "Switch to video" option, boosting artist-fan engagement with a catalog featuring Ariana Grande and others.
Spotify said it is making music videos available to premium subscribers in the U.S. and Canada, challenging YouTube for market share.
Spotify recently unveiled Wrapped – its year-end roundup of users' listening habits – that gained over 200 million engaged users within around 24 hours, marking a 19% increase from a year earlier.
A recent Burson survey found that more than 70% of users say more video content would enhance their experience on Spotify.
