US Fast Food Chain Rivalling KFC to Open First Site in UK After 30 Years in Business
The chain has developed a UK-focused menu and plans more European sites as it targets growth beyond its 950 restaurants in the US and Middle East.
Louisiana-Born chicken brand Raising Cane is setting up shop on Coventry Street in London, between Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square, with branded hoardings signaling the long-awaited launch is nearing.
Todd Graves launched the business in 1996 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and the company now operates more than 950 restaurants across the American and Middle East regions. Graves is fulfilling a long-held dream by bringing the brand to Britain.
The chain maintains a simple menu of five core items, including Crispy Chicken Fingers and Craveable Cane Sauce. Celebrities like Snoop Dogg and Post Malone are known fans, helping drive social media engagement.
This London flagship marks the beginning of a wider European rollout, with the company exploring additional central London sites including Oxford Circus and The Strand. The flagship aims to open within 18 months.
Raising Cane returns to the Britain market after previous branches closed by 2009. The brand now joins American competitors like Popeyes and Chick-fil-A, which have also announced expansion plans in Britain.
