On Thursday, 27 November, Arcom stated that his findings were different from those of the NGO, which had asked him the day before, according to information from the "Point". RSF defended itself by criticising the authorities for a partial response to his remarks.
In an investigation, Reporters Without Borders believed that CNews was circumventing its obligations of pluralism, a "failure" that Arcom did not find.
Reporters Without Borders (RSF) denounced, in an investigation published on Wednesday, a "truth" of CNews which consisted of circumventing compliance with the obligation of pluralism in speaking times. Arcom, seized, said he did not see any breaches of the rules.
The audiovisual regulator contests the conclusions of Reporters Without Borders on the speaking time granted to the various political parties on CNews in March 2025.
While Reporters Without Borders accuses the channel of relegating left-wing officials' speaking time to nighttime, the audiovisual regulator said that there was "no circumvention of the rules" during the reporting period.
