The following is a synopsis of what occurred during the Sept. 2 District of Sparwood council meeting. BUSINESS Engine 1447 use Council approved the use of Engine 1447 as a reserve unit to backfill the fire fleet, deployable at the request of BC Wildfire and rentable to other agencies. Engine 1447 was replaced last September by Engine 1455. The new Engine 1455 was purchased to meet the requirements of having a frontline engine under 20 years old.…
