South Holland Wants to Decide on Expansion of Port at Sea in 2027

The province of South Holland hopes that a decision will be made in 2027 on the possible expansion of the Maasvlakte. The province is organizing a symposium next Monday, where 140 representatives of the parties involved will discuss the seaward expansion of the port of Rotterdam. The port area has already been expanded twice in the past seventy years by spraying large quantities of sand off the west coast.
