Four names are being circulated these days in the discussions between the parties for the role of Prime Minister: Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare, entrepreneur Iulian Stanciu, Secretary of State Luca Niculescu and MEP Eugen Tomac.

Political sources say that Nicusor Dan could appoint Luca Niculescu as prime minister. He was a journalist and ambassador of Romania to France. Nicusor Dan did not make the final decision, he still had names like Grindeanu or Alexandru Nazare on the list.

President Nicușor Dan would be making a new appointment for the Prime Minister this week, in the context of negotiations for the formation of a parliamentary majority being blocked.
