The possibility of Leon XIV visiting Santiago de Compostela has taken a new step. Rafael Lazcano, one of the chief biographers of the Pontiff and close friend of Robert Prevost since they both coincided as young Augustinians in Rome, has revealed that work is already under way to organize a trip of the Pope to the Galician capital and places on the table two possible horizons: the Holy Year of 2027 or, if finally it cannot be realized then, 2028.
