Radio Student warns that for 8 months now, the University of Ljubljana has been banning the recording of student assembly meetings. At the last two meetings, filming was restricted by security guards. They understand this as a crude restriction of journalistic work and therefore demand the lifting of the ban on filming.
Mojca Zabukovec from the Union of Journalists of Slovenia said that restrictions cannot be understood differently than hiding and pushing students away.
The journalists of Radio Študent point out that the Student Organization of the University (ŠOU) in Ljubljana has been prohibiting public video transmission and audio recording of student choir sessions for eight months. In the last two sessions, however, the recording was physically restricted by security guards. Because of the interference with the public's right to information, they demand that the ban on filming be lifted.
