Sony WF-1000XM6 Earbuds Review: A Cut Above
Sony's WF-1000XM6 earbuds offer improved noise cancellation, enhanced sound quality, and support for high-quality codecs with an $329.99 MSRP, launching nearly three years after the XM5.
- On Feb 12, Sony launched the WF-1000XM6 earbuds, available to order today at an MSRP of $329.99.
- Sony redesigned the XM6 to improve ANC and sound with HD Noise Canceling Processors, the 32-bit Integrated Processor V2, Bluetooth 5.3, an 11% slimmer shape, and four on each earbud microphones.
- PCMag's testing found the WF-1000XM6 produce 'simply outstanding' audio, with a 10-band EQ in the Sony Sound Connect app, and battery life of eight hours per charge, 24 hours with case.
- PCMag recommends the XM6 for listeners who value sound above all, as they deliver outstanding audio and a 10-band EQ, compared to Apple and Bose alternatives for comfort or noise cancellation.
- Design trade-offs with the WF-1000XM6 include larger, less secure buds and a bigger, blockier charging case compared to the WF-1000XM5, reviewers said.
