After a calamitous start to the season, Piastri now has two second-place finishes in a row to his name. But his qualifying performance in Miami was not as positive as the sprint race.
Miami has already become the traditional starting point for McLaren. Woking’s team won the first win of the MCL40 and got a double with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri in the sprint race, thus breaking Mercedes’ dominance in the first three races of the season. Andrea Stella’s team has brought to the United States an important package of aerodynamic updates that has certainly allowed them to make a big leap.
