SOMERSET CO., Pa. (WTAJ) — Governor Josh Shapiro visited Somerset County on Tuesday to meet with victims and to view the damage that heavy rain and flooding left behind. Somerset County Bridge Reopens After Flood Damage

Route 219 in Somerset County has reopened, ten days after flooding caused damage to the Boynton Bridge over Piney Creek.  PennDOT reports that contractors completed a temporary structure over the creek on Saturday.  PennDOT officials say plans are currently under review for the next phase of the project, and they are developing a timetable for the construction of a permanent replacement.
