Accompanied by protests, the SudetenGerman Day was celebrated for the first time in the Czech Republic. Bavarian Prime Minister Söder spoke of a "great peace festival".
At least 4,000 people gathered in Brno, southeastern Czech Republic, on Sunday to protest against a Sudeten German congress taking place there. Among those speaking were former Czech President Miloš Zeman, who said that Sudeten Germans were an integral part of the Nazi movement.
