Some Rainy Summer Filled Neusiedler Lake Further

The rainy July and rainy days in August and early September have led to the Neusiedl lake currently having a "happy" water level. 115.30 meters above the Adriatic Sea means nine centimetres more than in the previous year, when the heavy rain caused the rise of the water level in mid-September. Christian Sailer, head of the main water management department in Burgenland, is now hoping for a snowy winter.
