Solar Energy with Batteries Can Replace Diesel in Electricity Generation in the Amazon

Experiences identified in the study Decarbonization of Isolated Systems in the Amazon show that independent small-scale solar systems, more efficient and with lower operating costs, could be a viable solution to decarbonize energy in the Amazon region.The average cost of generating electricity with solar panels associated with batteries could be 44% lower than that of using diesel generators, considering operation for 25 years.
