SoLa in Michigan City needs to be a lighthouse for downtown visitors

Summary by Ground News
The northern end of the city is a food desert with no daycare options, not enough jobs and a glaring lack of social services, says Tom Dakich, one of four owners of YAB Development Partners. The $280 million, 628,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art mixed-use development broke ground last month in an empty field just south of the Lubeznik Center. SoLa will feature two boutique hotels, a rooftop pool, upscale retail businesses and a wide variety of residences.
