HATTIESBURG, Miss. (NEWS 15) — The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns fell short against Southern Miss with a 9-1 loss on Sunday, March 15, in the Sun Belt Conference series finale at the USM Softball Complex.

Softball Takes Series Over Louisiana

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southern Miss softball (20-11, 2-1 Sun Belt) scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to defeat Louisiana (17-12, 1-2 Sun Belt) to take the first series of Sun Belt Conference play and notch the program's first-ever series win over the Ragin' Cajuns on Sunday afternoon at the Southern Miss Softball Complex.
