NORTHAMPTONSHIRE, ENGLAND, JUL 7 – Three YouTubers were arrested on suspicion of causing thousands of pounds in damage after climbing into a 2019 Racing Point Formula 1 car at Silverstone, police said.
Northamptonshire Police arrested three men, including YouTuber AngryGinge, on suspicion of causing damage to a classic F1 car during Silverstone fan events.
Northamptonshire Police confirmed that someone accessed the display stand, climbed into a classic F1 car, and caused damage worth thousands of pounds during the British Grand Prix weekend.
All three suspects deny causing damage, with AngryGinge claiming they only sat in the car and were accused of �30,000 worth of criminal damage.
The three suspects were released without further action, and police confirmed they were banned from attending Silverstone thereafter.
Superintendent Basham praised careful planning amid limited policing, despite incidents like a steering wheel theft at Silverstone.
