'So Much to Offer': The Areas of Yorkshire Where Semi-Detached House Prices Are Rising Fastest
Bradford’s average semi-detached house price rose 5% to £207,798, the biggest annual gain in Yorkshire, according to the latest UK House Price Index.
Bradford's semi-detached house prices rose 5% over the last year to £207,798, marking the largest increase across Yorkshire.
Robert Watts noted that Bradford's City of Culture status brought new jobs and investment, yet homes remained 'relatively affordable' compared to nearby Leeds and Manchester.
While overall England property prices fell 0.6% last year, typical semi-detached values rose 1.2% nationally, contrasting with Yorkshire areas like Sheffield at 2.3% growth.
The city, recently thrust onto the 'national stage,' attracts families, professionals, first-time buyers, and students to its lively city centre and cultural amenities.
Semi-Detached homes remain the most common property type in England and Wales, with nearly a third of all households living in one, solidifying their role as the classic family home.
