Snow returns across Maine over the weekend before giving way to rain, warmer temps

Snow accumulations will vary from 1 to 12 inches across Maine before a stronger system brings rain and gusty winds Monday, raising ice-jam concerns, National Weather Service said.

Mainers from Kittery to Calais can expect anywhere from 1 to 8 inches of snow Friday night into Saturday, but rain and springlike temperatures are likely to melt it quickly.
