Forest fires are raging in the areas of Bihać, Kalesija, Drvar and the municipality of Prozor-Rama in Bosnia and Herzegovina today. Firefighting aircraft, military helicopters and the army are participating in extinguishing them. Dense smoke has spread all the way to Dalmatia in neighboring Croatia, alarming residents there, according to media in the region. The fires are also being reported from Montenegro.
The easiest thing to say is: arsonist. That word sounds like an explanation, and it often becomes an excuse not to ask any further questions. Someone started a fire, the firefighters put it out, the damage was done, people got scared and we wait for the next time.
