Colgate led 17-14 with 27 seconds remaining after quarterback Jake Stearney threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Matt Fogler, prompting Smith to rally the Crimson for one final drive.
On the final play, Smith heaved a pass to tight end Teigan Pelletier, who lateraled to Bailey; the freshman dove over the pylon to seal the win with 197 receiving yards.
The victory extended Harvard's home undefeated streak to 25 games, with head coach Andrew Aurich stating the result would "propel us here moving forward" as the team builds momentum.
Next Saturday, the Crimson will travel to Ithaca to face Cornell in a matchup carrying major implications for the remainder of Harvard's season in the Ivy League.
