Small Plane Carrying Four Crashes Into East Troy Cornfield
All four people aboard survived with minor injuries as the Federal Aviation Administration investigates the cause of the crash.
On Sunday, Sept 27, 2026, a small plane crashed into a cornfield in East Troy, Wisconsin, around 1:30 p.m. All four occupants survived, with three transported to the hospital for evaluation.
Skydivers with Skydive Milwaukee, including trained EMTs, assisted first responders at the crash site because the location was difficult to access from the road. East Troy Fire and Rescue and the Walworth County Sheriff's Office also responded.
Nearby resident Graham Adsit, working on his combine when emergency crews arrived, grabbed a tractor to help extinguish potential flames. He praised the response, saying "Great teamwork is what I saw."
The Federal Aviation Administration is leading the investigation into the crash, working alongside the Town of East Troy Police Department. The cause remains unconfirmed as of now.
Registration for the single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza traces to a Waterford, Wisconsin address. The severity of injuries sustained by the three hospitalized occupants remains unknown.
