Defense attorney warns: We really have no choice
The government's announcement of an increase in defense spending is expected and inevitable, defense experts Jelena Juvan and Maja Garb told STA. The geopolitical situation is tense, and Slovenia lags behind NATO members in defense spending. They believe that investments should be made in personnel and battalion groups, and that some of the defense money can be used for civilian purposes.
