Tick-borne encephalitis has occurred in two sheep and goat farms in Slovakia. The Slovak State Veterinary and Food Administration has therefore launched emergency measures. Among other things, people will not be able to drink raw milk from farms where the infection appears. However, the chief veterinarian has also reassured people that the authorities have the situation under control.
